Welcome to GCF Youth L.I.V.E.

Moses and Aaron and his sons were to camp to the east of the tabernacle, toward the sunrise, in front of the Tent of Meeting. They were responsible for the care of the sanctuary on behalf of the Israelites. Anyone else who approached the sanctuary was to be put to death. – Leviticus 3:38
Father God, You are holy; You cannot tolerate sin. Yet You are also merciful. Although I am a sinner, doomed to perish in Your presence, You still made a way for me to be in fellowship with You. During Moses’ time You set apart the Levites who would offer sacrifices to You, in their behalf, so that Israel’s sins may be forgiven. And now You have provided me Your one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to be both priest and sacrificial lamb, that I may be forgiven of my sins. Thank You, God. May Your name be praised forever and ever. AMEN.

A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord. – Leviticus 27: 30
Heavenly God, To You everything belongs; To everything You are the cause. Praises and thanksgiving be to Your name for You are the great Giver; You are the Great Provider. May I be like You in every way. May I learn how to give without expecting anything in return. May I share without hesitation. Help me be sensitive to the needs of my neighbors. Help me not look away when they need me. May my heart be humbled so I can give and love  selflessly just as You gave Your only Son and loved me through Him. Thank You, God. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.

There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, a day of sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a Sabbath to the Lord.  – Leviticus 23:3

Think about how much time you have that is not devoted to work. Thank God for knowing that you need rest. Commit to make time for both God and rest, to make it part of your busy schedule, recognizing that it is important simply because God says so. Also thank God that you can find rest in Him.

Keep my commands and follow them. I am the LORD. Do not profane my holy name. I must be acknowledged as holy by the Israelites. I am the LORD, who makes you holy and who brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD. – Leviticus 22:31-33

Lord, please help me to remember who You are – that indeed You are holy.  You are God.  You have done great things.  May I not just treat You as holy merely in words, but also in my actions and my life.  Forgive me, Lord, for the times that I don’t live my life as a testament to Your holiness.  There are so many times when I take You for granted and offer You what is less than my best.  Lord, please make me aware of these moments when I fall short, so that I can change and bring glory back to You.  God, may my life be pure for You as a worthy offering of worship.  In Your name I pray, AMEN.

Live holy lives before me because I, God, am holy. I have distinguished you from the nations to be my very own. – Leviticus 20:26

Lord God, You are awesome, majestic, powerful, and almighty. Lord You are Holy. Teach me Lord to live as one who fears You, teach me Lord to live a life set apart for You, teach me Lord to live for Your glory among the nations. AMEN.

April 16, 2012Leviticus 20:1 - 21:8

Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. – Leviticus 18:24
God Almighty, may You continue to grant me strength to resist temptation, and may You lead me in Your ways. Let me not be swayed by wicked and deceitful ways that may be used by others to achieve their goals. Rather, help me continue to live a consecrated life before You. AMEN.
