Do not leave the entrance to the tent of meeting for seven days, until the days of your ordination are completed, for your ordination will last seven days. What has been done today was commanded by the LORD to make atonement for you. – Leviticus 8:33-34
During the time of Moses, God commanded him to anoint and ordain Aaron as the High Priest and his sons to be priests of Israel. Their function is not easy. They need to lead everyone to obey strictly all the laws given to them by the Lord. In today’s modern time, we call them Pastors, Elders and Deacons. God called and appointed them in this ministry hence we need to give our support to them. We need to pray for them and their families.
Lord, You are sovereign and we acknowledge that You are the one who calls and appoints our Church Leaders. I pray that You will continue to keep them healthy so that they will be able to continue their tasks. I pray that You will continue to guide them and give them wisdom as they study Your Word and share it to the congregation. May You continue to bless them financially and provide their needs. May you continue to protect them from temptations and keep their hearts burning for You. I also want to pray for their families, which sometimes face challenges and pressure as part of becoming a Church Leader’s family. May they continue to be united in love and have a wonderful relationship with You. Lastly, I pray for our church to continue to give support and encourage our Church Leaders for we are receiving spiritual blessings through them. AMEN.
